^{Hey there everyone. I just wanted to make a journal update that I am still around, I've just been around on another account for the most part.

I've been in a slump lately with photography and my creative juices for arts and crafts seemed to come alive once I discovered I could crochet and knit. So. . . I kind of forgot a bit about my photography account on here for a bit, especially since I haven't had any good inspiration lately for photos. But with spring and soon summer coming along, I'm hoping to get my camera ready for some fun days of photo-shooting (on my days off from work that is)! And I still have been watching over the group here, making sure photos go in the right folders. I've just been doing that from my other account.

I'm thinking about changing the submissions again soon, where you guys will be able to go and find the folders your work needs to be in and it will have to be reviewed, to make sure people are paying attention to where they're putting their photos.

I also want to remind everyone, since I've been seeing some people submitting stuff they shouldn't be, but, nudity and gore is not allowed. Anything that is not photography, is not allowed either. I don't know why, but I've seen a few things slip in that are text-related, like stories and poems. This group is for PHOTOGRAPHY.

With that said, I look forward to new entries to the group ~ ! Keep submitting and thank you everyone who has stuck around with the group since it opened back in January of 2011.

UPDATE MAY 21st, 2013:
I'm switching submissions back to needing a vote on being allowed into the group because I've noticed people are still not paying attention to the rules and guidelines, submitting stuff that isn't photography, that is nudity, or that is gore. Please read the rules and guideline before you submit anything!}

How to join and submit photos - [link]

^{Hello there and welcome to LoversOfPhotography! This is a group where all photographers whether they be newbies or oldie experts, all are welcomed to get together and share their work, talk to each other, and give feedback to others.

The work you submit must be your own work. Art thieves are not welcomed here. If I find out you've stolen someone else's work, the piece will be removed, you will be removed from the group, and the original artist will be notified by me so they know their work has been stolen.

All photos should be submitted to the Feature folder (as it's the only folder people have the option to submit to). This is a recent change I've done. There is always someone who is trying to submit something to the wrong folder and I'm just tired of seeing them. All photos submitted are accepted automatically. You do not have to worry about waiting for them to be reviewed. However, you can only submit one photo per week. Please think of which ones you really want to submit for each week.

Do not submit several photos of the same thing (for example, three shots you took of a flower but are all at different angles). Please pick the one you think is your best of them and submit it.

All genre of photography is allowed to be submitted except pornographic, artistic nude, or gore material. Also, please no over the top photo-manipulation. Some editing in a program to your pictures are fine, but I don't want anything way too over the top to the point that it doesn't even look like the original photo anymore. Any of this submitted will be removed and if users continue to submit it, will be removed from the group.

Please try to put some work and effort into your pictures. Don't just whip out your cell phone camera and take a blurry picture of something on the ground you thought looked cool. Pictures that are poor in quality, blurry, or break any of the rules in any way (such as art theft or posting porn, artistic nude, gore), will be declined on the spot. If I decline your photo, please do not re-submit it.}

why?

I couldn't post in Architecture,or other place,only in Featured.

^{That's how it works. You submit it to featured, we'll move it to the folders it goes in. We had so many people putting photos in the wrong folders pretty much every day, we decided to just switch it so featured is the only folder you can submit to.

Oh I see.I was used to properly place my artwork(photos,papercrafts) to the correct folders,I had no declined so far with this reason(misplacing) so i wanted to make sure that there's no problem submitting it to featured
